The Account Executive position puts you face to face with local business owners, from cold calling to closing the sale. You’ll be responsible for building relationships and selling radio, non-traditional programs and our digital platforms as a marketing solution to help your client meet their key business challenges. This commission-based position prefers candidates with previous experience in sales. Applicants must be able to negotiate business and achieve revenue goals, develop new advertisers and service existing clients. Clear Channel Charlotte is seeking an Interactive Media Account Executive to present the digital assets of our (5) station group.  You will be responsible for growing our digital revenue in a commissioned environment.

Clear Channel Charlotte Internship Program

Clear Channel Radio Charlotte, 96.9 The KAT, Lite 102.9, Channel 96-1, 106.5 The End, and 99.7 The Fox Internship Program offers you the opportunity to experience and learn all about the mechanics of the radio industry. We offer a well-rounded internship experience with participation in Promotions, Programming, Sales, Accounting and Production.

The internship program extends through 1 semester (about 3 months) of the year. All students applying must be able to receive college credit for the program. It's your chance to become highly involved with Charlotte's most exciting radio stations!

Your experience will include:

As part of The Clear Channel team, you will participate in all of the daily functions inside and outside the radio station including:
• On-site station promotions, remotes, ticket stops, movie premieres, appearances, and of course, Concerts!
• Assist in executing all station contests and prize giveaways
• Attend weekly Promotion meetings and creative sessions.
• Coordinate on-site events.
• Maintain and update station website, and respond to listener e-mail.
• Assist account executives and sales assistants in carrying out client needs, in addition to observing sales calls.
• Assist in the daily responsibilities of the programming department.
• Help the production department in fulfilling production responsibilities.
• Attend weekly intern meetings with guest speakers from the industry.
• and otherwise have a great time while earning college credit!
