Do you remember when Metallica got upset when fans illegally downloaded their
music? Seems they've got a new grudge to nudge off the map. Metallica has halted
the U.S. Navy Seals from using their music as part of their interrogation
process. When cranked beyond normal limits their rhythm and flow has been known
to “soften” terror suspects. One Navy Seal explains, “When we first started the
war in Iraq, we were using Metallica music before we interrogated them. Once
Metallica got wind of this...they professionally shouted, ‘Hey, please don’t use
our music because we don’t want to promote violence." The Navy Seal followed
with, "Dude, you have an album called ‘Kill ‘Em All.” According to James
Hetfield; a part of him is proud the US Navy Seals chose Metallica but he's
worried more about the band being connected to a political statement.
