MORGEN'S HOME LIFE... Graduated from Summerville High School class of 1990. I've been living in Summerville with my two cats (Caleb and Chaucer) and my new husband Tommy. We live a pretty modest life and enjoy killing time playing our guitars and discovering new and old bands. I'm very fortunate to have found another musician and music lover to share my life with.
Stacey's father passed away 24 days before she participated in this championship ride. She's only worked with the horse for 3 weeks before the competition. You'll notice she isn't on a saddle, nor are there reigns on the horse. She uses Native American signals to communicate with the horse. I should also let you in on another amazing fact...Stacey is Deaf and Mute. I applaud her for not seeing her lack of hearing or speech as an obstacle, but let's give this horse a little bit of credit as well. The very fact that an animal that strong can listen and take care of its rider, that it can be trained to work with man is a gift we don't value much anymore. Call me a sap for animal story, but I don't think we honor them for what they bring to our lives nearly enough, for what they help us conquer and achieve we owe them a huge debt. This one is for the dreamers. -morgen
