My father moved us to Charleston when I was 5 and, until now, I had been there every since, with the exception of a 9 month stint in Washington in the 6th grade. I was there for the parachute pants era (oh how glad I am that THAT came and went in a hurry!) Charleston will always be my home. Driving over the Cooper River Bridge and seeing Mt. Pleasant all lush and green, going home at night over the same bridge to the site of the lights of the city; to sitting on my screened porch in Summerville with my two cats and enjoying a beautiful summer evening with my husband...there's nothing like living in the Lowcountry. Radio gives me the opportunity to spotlight the sites and activities and interesting people that live and thrive in our area. It also gives me the joy of giving the back story on rock songs that you may have heard a million times but never knew why it was written. Sharing my life and my love for rock and roll with you, the listener is the greatest reward I could ever ask from my profession. I've been a groupie since the age of eight when I thought The Beatles were peeking at me through the window whenever I put on one of their records. I was raised on tales of my dad winning Twist contests and my mother almost going on tour with Gene Pitney, mom says I had stars in my eyes from an early age. My friends from my years at Summerville High School remember me as the girl with the guitar! I hardly ever went anywhere without it. After entering college as a music major it didn't take me long to figure out that I didn't want to live the musician's life-style...so I decided to follow my first calling in life...that of groupie.

MORGEN'S HOME LIFE... Graduated from Summerville High School class of 1990. I've been living in Summerville with my two cats (Caleb and Chaucer) and my new husband Tommy. We live a pretty modest life and enjoy killing time playing our guitars and discovering new and old bands. I'm very fortunate to have found another musician and music lover to share my life with.
